TERMS & CONDITIONS

A £75 non-refundable deposit must be received on making a Booking and this deposit must be made via a card payment.

If the booking is cancelled 42 or more days before arrival, then a charge equal to £75 per caravan booked will be made.

Full booking balance must be paid 42 days before arrival. Please note a reminder may not be issued for this payment.

If the booking is cancelled less than 42 days before arrival, then a charge equal to 50% of the stay will be made.

If the booking is cancelled less than 14 days before arrival, then a charge equal to the full booking amount will be made.  

The balance must be paid 6 weeks prior to the arrival date and it is the hirers responsibility to make sure that the payment is made on time. If the balance is not paid
by the due date we reserve the right to relist those dates and all payments
made prior to then may be forfeited.

NOTE. If a holiday is cancelled, we may offer a refund if the holiday is subsequently resold. If the holiday is resold at a lower price then the difference between the original price and the resale price will be deducted from the refund along with a £50 admin charge.

If the holiday balance is not paid by the due date, we reserve the right to re-let the caravan. If you are experiencing difficulties, please just let us know.

In the event of a no show or booking reduction (for any reason after arrival) the full cost of the booking is charged. In the event of entertainment, services, facilities etc. offered by Butlins being cancelled or unavailable for any reason, no refund will be given.

In addition to the cost of your holiday a £100 refundable security bond/deposit will be charged.

The refundable security bond/deposit is refundable upon full satisfactory inspection of the caravan. Charges may apply where extra cleaning is needed.

All breakages/damage should be reported on discovery.  If these are not reported or only reported on or after check out then repairs or replacements may be charged to the hirer. This includes all baby items. (Travel Cot, Bed Guards & Highchairs)

Any complaints must be addressed to ourselves within 24hrs and we must be given a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue before any refunds or compensation can be claimed.

WRISTBANDS – Everyone staying in the caravan must have a valid wristband or pass. Any attempt to circumvent this to avoid payment to Butlins or to over occupy the caravan will result in the entire party being asked to leave the resort and no refund will be given.  The lead guest is responsible for the conduct of the entire party and only named guests are allowed to stay in the caravan.

LIABILITY –  We advise all guests to take out holiday insurance as we do not accept liability for any personal injury or loss/damage to personal property either in the caravan or within its property boundary. This includes motor vehicles.

A £100 refundable security bond is added to the price of your break.  We reserve the right to charge guests the cost of rectifying any damage found that has, in our opinion, been caused by the deliberate, negligent or reckless act of the guests to the caravans property or structure. Or, to replace any items that are removed from the caravan by them or any visitors without consent. We will however make every effort to rectify any damage ourselves prior to contracting specialists to make the repairs, and therefore will make every effort to keep any costs that the guest would incur to a minimum.

However, we do understand that accidents will happen, and we will judge every incident accordingly.

If, on arrival you discover any damage, please contact us within 24 hours otherwise you risk being held responsible. If any damage or breakages do occur and you make an attempt to conceal this from us then you will automatically forfeit your security bond.

When you submit a booking, you will receive an automatically generated booking summary by email to the email address you provide in the booking form. This does not form a contract between us. A contract shall only arise when a deposit has been received and your booking is subsequently confirmed in writing via email.  

Arrival/Departure – Standard check in time is 4pm. Early check in is available but a charge will be made. Check out is 10am. Late check out is available subject to certain conditions and a charge will be made. If the caravan is not vacated by the agreed check out time  charge of £15 per 30 mins or part thereof will be made.   

KEYS – Please hand your keys in to caravan reception or the security gate on leaving. Butlins will notify us if keys are not returned and a charge of £15 per key will be made to replace them. 

ADVERTISING – While we try to be accurate in the description of our caravans we can not be held responsible for any errors in those descriptions. Items may be removed at short notice or be unavailable due to breakdown, theft or damage and will be replaced  as soon as possible.  All pricing, either written or verbal, is offered as an invitation to treat and should be recognised as such.

SMOKING – Smoking or vaping is strictly forbidden inside the caravan. Evidence, or smell, of smoking or vaping in the caravan or damage to the caravan or veranda due to smoking will result in the loss of your security bond.  Anyone caught or seen smoking will be asked to leave with no refund. 

PETS – Pets are not allowed in any caravan unless previously arranged. Any evidence or smell of unauthorised pets will result in the loss of your security bond.

ELECTRIC VEHICLES – Charging of electric vehicles is not permitted and is strictly forbidden under the terms of our caravan insurance. Anyone found to be charging, or have charged, an electric vehicle may be asked to leave the resort and no refund will be given. there facilities to charge your vehicle on site for a donation of £5 (correct at time of writing). Please ask at caravan Reception. 

LOSS OR DAMAGE – We reserve the right to charge guests the cost of rectifying damage caused by the deliberate, negligent, or reckless act of the guests to the caravan’s property or structure. Or replacing any items that are removed from the caravan by them without consent. Should this damage or loss come to light after the guests have departed, we reserve the right to make a charge to the guest’s credit / debit card or send an invoice for the amount to the registered address. We will however make every effort to rectify any damage internally prior to contracting specialists to make the repairs, and therefore will make every effort to keep any costs that the guest would incur to a minimum.  However, we do understand that accidents will happen, and we
will judge every incident accordingly.

BEDDING/UPHOLSTERY – If we find bedding that has been soiled or stained and is unable to be laundered satisfactorily, A charge will be made to replace the item/s. Your security bond may be withheld whilst the items are laundered. Staining by fake tan, hair dye and fresh tattoos are particularly hard to remove. Any evidence of these on bedding, towels, carpets or upholstery will result in the loss of your security bond.

We can provide a travel cot, bed guard and highchair but these will be used at your own risk. We accept no responsibility for injury or loss. These are our own personal property so please use carefully and fully clean them after use so that they are clean for our next guests. If baby items are not left clean and unusable then you will lose your bond. If any are broken and this hasn’t been reported, we will keep all your security bond. (This would also not be fair to the next family) However if we are made aware then only a portion of bond may be kept if needed.

Important information

Butlins ask that we provide some information on the guests attending.

We will need along with your name.

your postal address with post code

a telephone number

and the names and dates of birth of all the guests

The price of your caravan holiday includes passes into the Butlins Skegness Resort for all members of your party that you have provided details for.

Any further passes not stated at the time of booking will also be charged for plus a £35 Butlins administration charge.

When you get your booking confirmation email from Butlins,
Please check it and let us know straight away of any errors. Once 24hours have
passed, any alterations may incur a £20 charge + any charges made by Butlins
for their admin or extra wristbands etc.

For Adult only music weekends it is important that every
guest brings photo ID (driving licence, passport etc) Any guest arriving
without photo ID may be refused entry by Butlins.

You are advised to check the inventory on taking over the caravan. We are unable to accept responsibility for any defects or losses not reported to ourselves within 24 hours of your arrival.

Butlins Skegness is a family holiday park and anyone in your party whose unreasonable conduct or behaviour causes a nuisance to any other persons on the park will be asked to leave immediately and no refund given.

If any member of Butlins staff asks you or any member of your party to leave the park, then no refunds will be given. Their decision is also final. We can not, and will not try to, influence their decision on your behalf.

We will not accept groups, or all male/female parties under 25 years of age unless the break is an adult only big music weekend.

Some Butlins facilities/entertainment may not be in operation during the season for which we have no control or influence over and do not accept responsibility for at any time.
We have no control over their facilities having to close due to exceptional circumstances, including COVID-19. No refunds will be given.

CARAVAN CHANGES. – As we (Rentabreak) act as agents for the caravan owners, sometimes a booked caravan may become unavailable and an alternative caravan will need to be offered. This replacement may be another caravan that we represent or with another company. As such, although we will try to find a like for like replacement, we can not guarantee the location and that you accept that any replacement may be in a different area within the Butlins caravan village. No refund will be given in the event of this happening.  This happens rarely and is usually due to a fault in the caravan gas or electrical supply or the failure of one of the fittings such as boiler, cooker etc. 

While we try to accurately describe the features, fittings and equipment and contents in every caravan. We can not be responsible if these these descriptions prove to be in error. Once pointed out we will endeavour to rectify the inaccuracy as soon as possible.

COVID-19 is now part of our normal daily lives. We will not issue refunds if your local area goes into lock down or anyone is ill with COVID-19 or COVID-19 symptoms or if you have been told to self-isolate.

If Butlins Skegness has to close due to Covid lock down we will be happy to move your break to another date.

PRIVACY STATEMENT

Please read this carefully.

Rentabreak is a Data Controller and a Data Processor under the UK General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) and Data Protection Act 2018. We are committed to protecting your privacy and to processing your personal information in a manner that meets the requirement of the Data Protection Act 2018.

Our legal basis for holding your information is taken from Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR –

“Processing is necessary for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is party or in order to take steps at the request of the data subject prior to entering into a contract”

The information we collect is used for the following reasons:

  • the administration of your holiday in our caravan.
  • to remind you that payments are due for any outstanding balance and to send you receipts for monies received
  • to send information to you that you will require in order to gain access to the Caravan site
  • (Where you are booking a caravan at the Butlins resort) for sharing with Butlins (Bourne Leisure) in order to obtain your wristbands for your stay and for them to process and release the keys to our caravan
  • for complaints and dispute handling.
  • to process your refundable security bond at the end of your stay
  • and to comply with our legal obligations.

Rentabreak has appropriate measures in place to prevent the unauthorised processing, accidental loss or destruction of your personal information.

We use a third-party vendor “Free to book” to process all of our holiday bookings and transactions but no data is shared with the third party.

We also advertise our caravans through Direct Holiday Homes and UKCaravans4Hire. If you engage with us through one of these sites they will act as data controller for any personal information or financial information that you supply as part of the booking process, and they will forward that information onto us to process your holiday booking request.

Your personal information will be stored by us for 36 months after your holiday with us and will then be securely destroyed, no copies will be retained.

Your personal information will not be given to any other third parties without your informed consent. The only exception to this is the sharing of full names and dates of birth and residential addresses of party members staying in our caravans on Butlins Resorts (Bourne Leisure) to enable your wristbands for access to the caravan, site and entertainment to be processed. 

By law there are some occasions when we must disclose your personal information to comply with our legal obligations. These include insurance claim assessments, criminal investigations, and fraud prevention.

You have the right to ask for a copy of your personal information and to
have any inaccuracies corrected. If you have any questions about these terms and conditions, please do
